Evergreen, conical, similar to C. ovensii. Major branches ascending, foliage branches flattened and pendulous, blue-green with greyish bloom. Bark reddish, scaly or flaky. Drought tolerant and no canker seen. Hybrid C. arizonica v. glabra x C. nootkatensis in 1950.
