The old Lombardy poplar does well in the driest ares of NZ where the golden colours of autumn can develop. We have selected a narrow form clone from Marlborough and have a limited supply. For wetter areas use P. Chiba or P. Crow's Nest. Rooted 1.3m+.

Broadly columnar, deciduous. Suckers freely, producing a thicket around the tree controlled by grazing. Yellowish grey bark. Leaves quiver in a breeze, yellow and orange autumn colours. Good for erosion control.
