East Asia. Broadly spreading, deciduous. Distinctly layered branches. Creamy flowers in flattened heads in early summer followed by blue-black berries loved by birds. Purple-red autumn colours.

Central and Sth Europe. Broadly conical, deciduous. Small clusters of tiny yellow flowers on bare branches in winter. Red or orange glossy fruits in January/February are sour but edible and used for conserves. Good shelter screen.

Bred by Mike Geenty, this clone has bright lime green leaves and is evergreen. Masses of tiny yellow flowers then orange berries for the birds, Upright growth, clips well as a hedge.Withstands coastal exposure and dry. For a low hedge of between 50cm – 1m we recommend you plant them 30cm – 50cm apart. For a hedge of between 1m – 2m we recommend planting them 50cm – 1m apart.

Broadly columnar, deciduous. Very edible hazel nuts in March with yellow autumn leaves in April. Our seed is collected from 34 year old trees that produce every year. Make great wind-breaks yielding nuts, small poles & rods. Coppice readily. Hedge spacing 1.5m apart
