As we predominantly grow our trees in the open ground, please note that the 2020 lifting & grading season has now ended.

Website currently only showing available container grown species that can be ordered online now.

Next season’s bare rooted stock will not be able to be ordered online until our stocktake is completed by end of March 2021.

However, we are taking forward orders now by email for the 2021 season.

Orders will be confirmed after stocktake completed by end of March 2021 and website fully updated.

Alnus subcordata

Caucasian alder Ht 25-30m

South Russia and Iran. Broadly conical, deciduous. Vigorous grower. Our trees raised from seed from Valdivia University arboretum in Chile. Leaves are long and tapered with quite a reddish tinge. Flushing early August, month ahead of A. cordata.

Amelanchier canadensis

Shad bush Ht 2-5m

Eastern North America. Broadly spreading, deciduous. Attractive tall shrub. Bronzey new leaves, masses of small white flowers, small red fruits for the birds in November and December. Yellow to red autumn colours. Very hardy.

Hybrid serviceberry Ht 4-6m

N.E.America. Erect, bushy, deciduous. A natural hybrid between A. arborea & A. laevis with larger white flowers from pink buds in spring, Sweet berries turn purple and are eaten by birds. Yellow and red autumn colours. Seedlings from 'Autumn Brilliance'.

A native perrenial, the Rega Renga is a favoured native landscape plant for covering ground under trees. Tolerating full sun to full shade it works superbly to add foliage and flowers in areas most shrubs won't thrive. White star-shaped flowers arrive in early summer that stand out over lush green leaves. Can be frosted back in cold areas. Will grow to 1m by 1m.
